🧪 Managing Diagnostic Tests

RxKonet allows you to record, view, and manage diagnostic tests such as blood pressure, glucose, malaria, and more. This helps in maintaining accurate clinical records and supporting treatment decisions.

➕ Adding Diagnostic Test Results​

Use this when a client returns with lab results or you perform a test outside a full encounter.

Steps to Add Test Results​

1️⃣ Navigate to Diagnostic Tests > Add Test Results
2️⃣ Search for a Client – Enter the name or phone number.
3️⃣ Enter Test Details:

  • Test Type (e.g., Blood Pressure, Malaria)
  • Test Values – e.g., Systolic: 120, Diastolic: 80, Pulse: 72
  • Result – e.g., Positive, Negative, or numeric values
  • Notes (Optional)

📌 You can add multiple tests in a session by clicking “Add Another Test”.
4️⃣ Click "Submit Test Result" or "Submit All Test Results" when done.

👀 Viewing Diagnostic Test History​

Steps to View Test Results​

1️⃣ Navigate to Diagnostic Tests > View Test Results
2️⃣ Search for a Client – Enter the client’s name or number
3️⃣ Apply Filters using:

  • Test Type
  • Date Range

You’ll see:

  • Test type
  • Date and time
  • Results
  • Notes

📊 Viewing Test Trends​

For numeric results (e.g., blood pressure, glucose):

1️⃣ Open View Test Results
2️⃣ Click the Actions (⋮) menu next to the test
3️⃣ Select "View Trends"

📈 This shows graphical trends over:

  • 24 Hours
  • Week
  • Month
  • 3 Months
  • 6 Months
  • 1 Year

This is useful for tracking chronic conditions or changes over time.

📝 Editing or Updating a Test​

To correct or update previously recorded tests:

1️⃣ Go to View Test Results
2️⃣ Click Actions (⋮) > Edit
3️⃣ Modify the test values or notes
4️⃣ Click Save Changes

🗑️ Deleting a Test Result​

To remove an incorrect or duplicate entry:

1️⃣ Go to View Test Results
2️⃣ Click Actions (⋮) > Delete
3️⃣ Confirm the action

📤 Exporting Test Records (*will be available soon)​

To generate a report of a client’s diagnostic results:

1️⃣ Open View Test Results
2️⃣ Click Export
3️⃣ Choose PDF or CSV format

📌 Best Practices for Diagnostic Test Management​

✅ Record test results promptly for accuracy
✅ Use notes to add relevant context (e.g., "normal", "needs follow-up")
✅ Check for abnormal values or trends
✅ Export data for review or referrals
