🏥 Creating New Encounters

Learn how to create, document, and manage patient encounters in RxKonet to ensure accurate medical records and effective follow-up care.

📌 What is an Encounter?​

An encounter records a patient’s visit details, including symptoms, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up plans. This ensures comprehensive patient care and better continuity.

🧠 AI-powered support is available as a subscription-based add-on. Pharmacies can enable or disable these features upon request.

🛠️ Steps to Create a New Encounter​

1️⃣ Access Encounters​

  • Go to Records & Encounters > Create Encounter.

2️⃣ Select a Patient​

  • Choose an existing client or register a new one.

📝 Documenting the Encounter​

1️⃣ Encounter Details​

  • Add visit date and time.
  • Choose or type in the reason for visit.

2️⃣ Chief Complaints & History​

  • Fill in chief complaint (e.g., "headache").
  • Click Generate Key Questions to see symptom-specific prompts.
  • Use Structure Notes to convert brief entries into formal documentation.

✅ AI Add-on: Speeds up history taking and improves clarity in records.

3️⃣ Diagnostic Tests​

  • Click Suggest Relevant Tests to receive AI-driven diagnostic recommendations.
  • Each test is tagged by priority (e.g., high, medium) and includes clinical reasoning.

✅ AI Add-on: Helps select appropriate tests based on symptoms and history.

4️⃣ Treatment Plan​

  • Search and add medications or enter manually.
  • Click Generate AI Suggestions to view recommended treatments with dosage and safety info.

✅ AI Add-on: Guides evidence-informed medication choices and dosing instructions.

5️⃣ Counseling & Recommendations​

  • Select Basic or Comprehensive level.
  • Use Generate AI Recommendations to load counseling points.

✅ AI Add-on: Saves time and ensures patients get complete, clear instructions.

6️⃣ Follow-Up Planning​

  • Click on Add your first follow-up then
  • Select method, action, date/time, and reminder frequency.
  • Under Follow-up Plan Details, click Generate with AI to auto-fill a structured plan.
  • You have two select either basic or comprehensive follow-up plans.

✅ AI Add-on: Suggests what to monitor, when to review, and follow-up instructions.
